In my dreams this morning…

I had a rickety old pianoforte with no lid (which I painted gold, as my apartment walls were an off shade of  turquoise). I had also an elephant, which I subsequently lost (as a character might lose a prop to poor continuity after an edit in a film). There I stood, in the same little street, but suddenly on foot and without my elephant! Inexplicable.

Someone I did not know was crying in my apartment, and later for some reason she gave me a piece of luggage– ornate, in a modern way. Something expensive– convertible, many compartments, and prized by rugged travelers. Her brother had arrived, and their family was somehow connected with the manufacturing of the bags.
