more maps

block_island_map1

These are maps of upper and lower Block Island; drawings I did of our bicycle adventures when we were there for a few lovely days back in September. These were done in a small accordion-fold Moleskine, called also a Japanese album. The accordion-fold sketchbook is pretty brilliant because you can make up your layout and formatting as you go along, and you can also change it constantly– the orientation, the direction of things. It could be interesting to do one continuous long drawing in one at some point, over a period of weeks or months, like a never-ending cityscape or an imaginary coastline…
